Abstract

Class action research generally aims to improve students’ learning outcomes. This class action
research specifically aims to describe the cooperative learning steps of peer tutors assisted by
animation of students in grade XII IPA MA Negeri 2 Pontianak, to observe changes in student
learning outcomes after the implementation of cooperative learning models of peer tutorials,
as well as to learn the student's response to the application of cooperative models of peer tutors.
This study consisted of two cycles with two meetings in each cycle. The research consists of
planning, implementation, observation and analysis of observation results. Using Student
Worksheets and animations made learning process easier. Cycle tests were used to determine
the student's grades. Observation sheets were used to determine the class management by the
teacher. By implementing peer tutor learning models, students' learning outcomes in magnet
induction materials increased. This could be observed from the increase in the percentage of
student passing grade from 56.41% in the first cycle to 79.48% in the second cycle with the
average score rising from 65.38 to 76.66.
